My training and workshops employ research-based methods of dialogue, reflection, education, and leadership practices. Participants can expect auditory, kinesthetic, and visual education rooted in: Identity exploration, communication, intersectionality, and transformational leadership. Cultural Competency in the Workplace and Beyond

Participants learn to define important terminology in areas of diversity and identity development. This workshops will guide each person through exploring their identity, cultural experiences, and systems of power. Participants leave with a greater understanding of tools to challenge inequities and engage in greater allyship.

Participants learn about the assumptions they make, microaggressions that could be verbal, physical or environmental. This workshop includes hands on strategies for building more inclusive methods into your outreach opportunities.

Participants learn the importance of the anatomy of setting agendas, building trust, observing behaviors of attendees and communication patterns, guiding dialogue, mediating challenging conversations, and ensuring follow-through and accountability.

Participants who work in K-Univeristy classroom settings will better understand stereotype threat, unconscious bias, and microaggressions, and how they manifest in the classroom. This workshop offers an interactive experience with real-world applications towards improving the climate of participants’ classrooms.

Participants learn to better understand their own social identities and the roles of identity, power, and privilege in order to learn how identity will play a role in every leadership role and sphere of influence.

Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression

Participants focus on utilizing terminology associated with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQIAP+) communities. Participants leave with a greater vocabulary and framework for understanding sex, gender, and sexual orientation, transgender identities, use of gender pronouns, knowledge of California legislation for protected classes, and local resources for support.
